Start Feeling Anticipation

When the desire is born,
right away you start counting yourselves a failure, because you've got this desire that hasn't been satisfied.
Know that you never get it done! And since you never get it done, it's time to stop being unhappy about what's undone, because most of it is undone! You are an eternal being. Most of it is undone. Instead of taking score about what's been achieved -- we want you to start feeling anticipation about what is still to arrive...

On Faith
To have faith is to trust yourself to the water.
When you swim you don't grab hold of the water, because if you do you will sink and drown. Instead you relax, and float. And the attitude of faith is the very opposite of clinging to belief, of holding on. In other words, a person who is fanatic in matters of religion, and clings to certain ideas about the nature of God and the universe, becomes a person who has no faith at all. Instead they are holding tight. But the attitude of faith is to let go, and become open to truth, whatever it might turn out to be.

Holding the Right Thought

The world is not wrecked.
It is like a magnificent steamer with the engines in place and the machinery in perfect order.
The bunkers are full of coal, and the ship is amply provisioned for the cruise;
there is no lack of any good thing.
Every provision Omniscience could devise has been made
for the safety, comfort, and happiness of the crew;
the steamer is out on the high seas tacking hither and thither
because no one has yet learned the right course to steer.
We are learning to steer, and in due time will come grandly
into the harbor of perfect harmony.
The world is good, and growing better.

Existing discords and inharmonies are but the rollings of the ship
incidental to our own imperfect steering;
they will all be removed in due time.
This view gives us an increasing outlook and an expanding mind;
it enables us to think largely of society and of ourselves,
and to do things in a great way.
Furthermore, we see that nothing can be wrong with such a world
or with any part of it,
including our own affairs.
If it is all moving on toward completion,
then it is not going wrong;
and as our own personal affairs are a part of the whole,
they are not going wrong.
You and all that you are concerned with
are moving on toward completeness.

It is Okay with You

When you feel free, you're free to be who you want to be under any and all conditions, and you really don't worry about what anybody else thinks about it, because you know that what they think about you is their problem. It has nothing to do with you. And when you really feel that way, you become in the greatest place that we know of, which is in the place of allowing -- and you know you are in the place of allowing when you can see another not approving of you and it is okay with you.

A Game of Boomerangs

-
Many people are in ignorance of the fact
that gifts and things are investments,
and that hoarding and saving invariably lead to loss.
"There is that scattereth and yet increaseth;
and there is that withholdeth more than is meet,
but it tendeth to poverty."

For example: I knew a man who wanted
to buy a fur-lined overcoat.
He and his wife went to various shops,
but there was none he wanted.
He said they were all too cheap-looking.
At last, he was shown one, the salesman said
was valued at a thousand dollars,
but which the manager would sell him for five-hundred dollars,
as it was late in the season.
His financial possessions amounted to
about seven hundred dollars.
The reasoning mind would have said,
"You can't afford to spend nearly all you have on a coat,"
but he was very intuitive and never reasoned.
He turned to his wife and said,
"If I get this coat, I'll make a ton of money!"
So his wife consented, weakly.
About a month later, he received
a ten-thousand-dollar commission.
The coat made him feel so rich,
it linked him with success and prosperity;
without the coat he would not have received the commission.
It was an investment paying large dividends!
If man ignores these leadings to spend or to give,
the same amount of money will go
in an uninteresting or unhappy way.

For example: A woman told me, on Thanksgiving Day,
she informed her family
that they could not afford a Thanksgiving dinner.
She had the money, but decided to save it.
A few days later, someone entered her room
and took from the bureau drawer
the exact amount the dinner would have cost.

The law always stands back of the man
who spends fearlessly, with wisdom.

An Observation

If you love something, set it free.
If it comes back, it was and always will be yours.
If it never returns, it was never yours to begin with.

If it just sits in your living room, messes up your stuff,
eats your food, uses your telephone, takes your money,
and never appears to know
that you actually set it free in the first place,
---
then you either married it or gave birth to it.

Might Appear To Be Sad

It might appear to be sad on the face of it.
But the Spirit's here...saying..."Relax, my friend; you can hang with it."

So I sit here waiting...for yet another miracle.
If it wasn't for what I've seen,...I'd probably have no faith at all.

Sometimes I think it was easier...when it was just a dream.
I understand, Sister Morphine,...sometimes things ain't what they seem.

I guess I keep going through with it,...since I ain't got no better plan.
Wonderin' if there'll ever come a time...in which they'll understand.

Yeah, I guess I keep going through with it,...since I ain't got no better plan.
Wonderin' if there'll ever come a time...in which she'll understand.

Slammin' Into Jupiter

Slammin' into Jupiter
Or something even stupider,
Heard they're gonna name the new star, Lucifer.
As I'm fuckin' my baby on the roof,
Wonderin' how long it takes for light to travel...
From Jupiter to here.

8 minutes? 18 minutes?
I don't know.
She tells me I should just let it go.
Think it's got something to do with the time zone in Egypt.
As we enter the millenium, I pray that I'm ripped.
If we could both come together on cue,
It'd make a helluva show.

I hear Jupiter's a big fucken planet.
I hear it's a lot of plutonium, supposedly.
It's fashionable for people to make fun...
When you say "conspiracy."
Guess we'll have to wait and see.
One of us is right...either me or she.

Creating a new star...
Just to see how stupid all the people are.
Y2K and poor old Jupiter, what can I say?
I can only pray I'm ripped and getting laid...
By my baby that day.

Yeah, I think it's got something to do with the time zone in Egypt.
As we enter the millenium, I pray that I'm ripped.
If we could both come together on cue,
It'd make a helluva show; but I don't know.
Either way if I'm getting laid, I won't feel gyped.

Heard they're gonna name the new star, Lucifer.

pipe dreams

Of all the times for things to be familiar and stupid.
This dumbness just might bore me to death.
I keep having the same dream in which I'm significantly drunk & stoned.
And God's smoking crystal meth.
Kinda like the fog rollin' into San Francisco.
I stare at God starin' down the pipe.
I'm busy praying for a better day, and I'm...
Trying not to believe the hype.

No bitches and broke. Reality.
You know it's getting on my nerves, too.
Makes me kinda wanna bust heads when I'm asleep or awake.
And, I'm sure it's not the appropriate thing to do.
But, I could use a useful dream sometime.
And maybe a couple of lucky breaks in reality.
Being a sorry dog dying of "nice guy syndrome."
I'm having a little trouble with the duality.
mind unturns

Up like a 7
Comin' back from heaven
Singin' damned if I do...or if I don't.
Rather talk to Russians in the evening
Than listen to Rush in the morning
I've got my Sprite,...I've got my Orange Crush.
Can't believe the trees' leaves have all left
And that left is right is wrong...
Still wonderin' where what I never had went.
I've spent the last hour trying to wake up
Hearing half the words to this song, I try to make up....
The rest, as I pray my mind unturns from mush.

on trial in my dreams

I smoke this bong for my lady...
Though the odds are she won't know.
That with this hit the world is free...
Like it was a long time ago.
I can see her,...just like a clear day...
Beauty as it really should be.
Wonder if there'll ever come a time...
In which she's ready for me.
Though the odds are she won't know.
That with this hit the world is free...
Like it was a long time ago.
I can see her,...just like a clear day...
Beauty as it really should be.
Wonder if there'll ever come a time...
In which she's ready for me.

I dreamed I was awake...
And stumbling around in a dream.
And that today was game day...
And there only was one team.
I'M ON TRIAL IN MY DREAMS
EVERYBODY'S GOT A BONE THEY WANNA PICK WITH ME
I JUST HOPE IT'S A FRIENDLY BONE
GODDESS HAVE MERCY

I can feel the breeze,...through this dry heat...
A quiet peace cools my veins.
Creeping up on the caravan up ahead...
Preparing to change lanes.
Sliding into home,...I close my eyes...
I start to slide.
Now I must be dreaming...
Because I'm on the other side.

Wow, it's not much different....
Than it was over there.
I can't believe I wanted to be. here so bad...
Would it matter if I even cared?
I'M ON TRIAL IN MY DREAMS
EVERYBODY'S GOT A BONE THEY WANNA PICK WITH ME
I JUST HOPE IT'S A FRIENDLY BONE
GODDESS HAVE MERCY

Ah, but today....is where we're at in time...
...And everything is fine.
Feeling the sun cooling us off...
...Feeling the moonshine.
There she was,...back in my head...
Where I left her ever since I met her.
So happy she's on my mind...
My thoughts couldn't be better.
Making love to my addictions...Setting myself free.
Making myself likable...
So she'll want to be with me.
Remembering how I dreamed it...
Memories of the future in my head.
Someone told me life is depression.
If that's the case,...then I guess I'm dead.

I'M ON TRIAL IN MY DREAMS
EVERYBODY'S GOT A BONE THEY WANNA PICK WITH ME
I JUST HOPE IT'S A FRIENDLY BONE
GODDESS HAVE MERCY...

Fair Warning

I'm sitting in a chair at the auction somewhere.
I'm not exactly sure why I'm here,
...but I think I know.
I'm sort of interested in learning about what things are worth,
...sort of.
I am becoming fascinated by what people are throwing away daily.
As my friend, Michael, said,..."There are a thousand reasons why people throw things away, and that 'they're broken or are bad' are only a couple of the reasons."
It's amazing what value certain things have in certain people's lives based on what's going on in their present reality at any given time.

"Fair warning to you,"
...I hear the auctioneer call out.
"Ten dollars bid here, now 12 and a half,
...I sold them, sold them,...at ten dollars."
I actually probably should have brought a Walkman.

I don't actually feel like buying today, for the exception of a 6-pack of Moosehead.
For my head. Oh yeah.
I am actually in a good mood today.
And, that's probably 'cause I'm fucked up,
and it's only 9:15 a.m....in the morning.

Still, I've been thinking as to how to properly understand timing.
As I sit in this
green chair.
As I'm writing, I hope the Spirit realizes that I am saying I'm ready to transcend a few levels now as I write.
Well, today could have been chaotic, but it appears it wasn't.Not really.
So, the restaurant opens at 7:30 a.m.,...and there's no cook.
So, there's customers right when they open.
So.
The students are back,
...and all those girls.
I was wrong.I didn't know what D.J. meant.
It's a toy blue electric toy 4-wheel drive off-road...did I mention toy...vehicle.
It's got a sticker on it that reads, "High Rider."
D.J. just came riding it down the aisle shooting a toy gun he just bought...shooting and cheering.
It was pretty funny.
I guess it needs a battery.
Maybe it can be charged.

I think I'm hungry, and I have to write down the quotes from yesterday,
and put up new ones,...actually.
Sometimes I know I'm happy.

Saw a good movie last night.
With Mr. Jay and Marilyn.
About computer hacking.
They tapped into Richard Nixon's account...bank account or something,
and had him...or actually his account...donate and transfer significant funds to the Coalition to Legalize Marijuana.
This happened right as the movie started; and I got a kick out of it.
Boy, do I have to take a piss.
